Bye, bye weekend.

I've been so tired lately. I literally gave up the other day trying to put together an outfit. Then yesterday I just didn't feel like bothering my husband to even take photos. Today I almost opted for pajamas before I even got ten feet in the front door. The weather was so nice but I'm just feeling very fatigued. That said, I'm sorry I've been kind of missing. I promise this spring and summer will be filled with lots of fun outfits. I'm just about officially sick of boots, leg warmers, and skinny jeans! SAY WHAT??!!

D'ya like my boat shoes?

Sweater: H&M (similar here)

Today was a super, comfy clothing day. I slept in, ran errands, then went to visit one of my favorite friends and her three little adorable little ones. It was super but required something simple and comfortable.

I bought these shoes on clearance a few months back. They were purchased specifically for football Sundays to go with my NY Giants jersey. Perfect!! They'll be wore on February 5th. I think they are lucky!

Wednesday are for sleeping in ...

Jacket: maurices (similar here)
Tee: Charlotte Russe (similar here)
Jeans: Silver Brand Co. (similar here)
Shoes: Rocket Dog (similar here)

I love sleep. I love sleep so much that I tend to hit snore so many times that my dogs start to get annoyed by it. I love this because I hear them sigh very loudly after about an hour of snoozing. Why don't I just stay asleep for an extra hour? What is about hitting that little button on your alarm that makes me feel so much better? I have no idea. What I do know is that I plan to sleep in tomorrow. That way you'll get a better outfit than today's outfit.

A little about this outfit. The jacket is very old but I love it so. I don't know if you can tell that it has a little puffed sleeve. Oddly enough I couldn't find a white tee but I found this well loved little number which looked just fine. Lastly, the belt buckle does not signify anything at all. It's just a cute little belt bucket that looks really good when I'm on the back of my husband's Harley Davidson. Yup, I am a Harley girl. More on that later.

Sweet dreams.

Blue, but that's not the way I'm feeling.

Sundays are my favorite for two reasons. The first reason is church. The second reason is football. What's better than Sunday football? The NFC (and AFC) title games. So today if you need me you'll find me on my couch. At points throughout the day I will probably be vigorously biting my nails or nervously playing with my phone. But I will be here. Wearing blue. All day.

This is my couch outfit. My silly (er, ugly) face. And my boxer girl. We cheer, Go Giants!

Snow and ... a cold.

This is so frustrating. You dance around the topic wondering when it will finally approach and then BAM! Hello there! You're here! Oh, what do you want me to wear? Really, that outfit?? The same as fall but you're asking for me to wear a coat? Okay, Fine! I will put on a coat. But not before photos. For photos I am going to wear exactly what I want to wear and you can't stop me. No winter! I am me. Here me roar!!

The end.

Can't wait to rip it off...

Cardigan & Lace cami: maurices (similar here and here
Skirt: Thrifted Old Navy (Adorable, affordable option here)
Tights: maurices (similar here)
Shoes: Kohl's (here)
Jewelry: Lia Sophia
Scarf: Thrifted

That was exactly how I felt about this outfit all day long. When I bought this skirt at a local consignment store the other week, I knew it was a little tight and a tad uncomfortable, but I thought for $10 bucks, whatevs.

Well truth be told it is cute but unless I lose like 5 pounds and find better undergarments, I will probably never wear it again. It's classic and adorable, but so itchy!! So, the outfit and the scarf are both cheap finds and cardigans just make my world go round. Put the whole outfit together? Not quite sure. Looking at the photos I remind myself of a secretary on her lunch break. You know the quick-walk-the-block-on-your-lunch-break outfit. Yes well. You win some and you lose some. I think I lost this one. It's a good thing I have some winners coming your way this weekend! Woop woop.

Discovering new apparel

Top & Necklace: Francesca's Collections (here)
Skinny pants & Vest: maurices (similar here and here)
Boots: Fergalicious (here)

My husband and I happened upon a little store this past weekend. We were walking through a mall we had never been in before that day. I was doing my best to not walk into every store, simply because my husband is not a fan of my shopping habits. But as I walked past this small piece of heaven, there was no way I couldn't enter. As soon as I stepped inside I felt myself drift into blogger heaven. You may or may not know what I mean by this. Blogger heaven is a little place I've found myself recently. Every time I come upon a piece of merchandise I think belongs in my wardrobe, I ask myself, "Is it blog-worthy?" Well, everything in this store was in fact blog worthy.

I did all I could to resist taking out an equity loan on my home (I'm kidding!) and instead I left with two must have pieces. They are featured in today's blog. The necklace and the shirt. I love the pattern of this shirt and the necklace just went with the shirt so perfectly. So, that is the story.

Oh, what was the name of the store, you ask. It was called Francesca's Collections. I have found a new place to shop. Have you been there?

Warmest jacket I've ever owned.

Jacket: Steve Madden (similar here)
Boots: Unity by Carlos Santana (here)
Cardigan: American Eagle (here)
Plaid shirt: maurices (similar here)
Jeans: J Brand (similar here)
Leg Warmers: Kohl's (similar here)
Jewelry: maurices
Watch: ESQ (similar here)

We decided to venture to a town we've not yet visited today and upon visiting I realized that the new coat I purchased, simply because a customer returned it, was the warmest jacket I have ever owned. Goodness gracious me. This jacket is not only darling, it is amazingly warm. The photos just don't do it justice but believe it me, it's not going any where.

The remaining photos were taken much later. I didn't dare brave the cold, wet, snow in this outfit. But I did love it plenty. Mostly because I took a second to think outside the box and paired the heavy metal jewelry with what I think I'd usually do mostly subdued jewelry and possibly brown shoes. Not today! I tried so hard NOT to wear leg warmers but they just called my name and begged to be worn. They were so comfy too! I love them. I couldn't resist.

Happy snow day!

Snow day = A no outfit day.

Long time ... no blog. It's been a crazy, super crazy, week. I started p90x this week and there is literally a five minute window from the time I get home and the time I can keep myself motivated to push play. If I stop for even a second to take pictures, get a glass of orange juice, a handful of peanuts, or even use the bathroom, all motivation will disappear and there is no exercising. I intend to stay on track this time around so I apologize for my lack of posts.

So, let me tell you about my day. Here in New Hampshire we got a nice, wet, eight inches of snow. I was lucky enough to still get out of the house and see a few good friends (not in a blog-worthy outfit). Then I worked out. Then I helped Mr. Handsome shovel the driveway. I am so fatigued and sore and I most definitely needed a ... BUBBBLE BATH!! That was amazing. But not quite as amazing as the yummy low-fat turkey chili I made my husband for dinner. It was so good. Thank you Pinterest. You never cease to amaze me.

Lastly, the pictures above are from some time this week. I wish my phone's camera worked well but it does not. So, I hope you get the jist. I got this scarf at a consignment shop for $6 and I LOVE it. I am obsessed with this idea of buying previously owned merchandise. Talk about cost per wear??!! Amazing.

Happy weekend friends!!

Everybody, Everywear: Black & White

I 100% forgot that every first Tuesday of the month this little site links in bloggers across the globe to wear specific items. How fun?!! Because today was insane; the first day of p90x AND New Hampshire's Republican Primary, I had no time for real pictures or posing. So, I linked up an outfit formally posted. So, for those of you who have already seen this post, check out Everybody, Everywhere for some new blogs and then follow them!

Happy Tuesday.

Stacked heels and cowhide bags.

Cardigan: Old Navy (here)
Solid Tank & Lace Tank: maurices (similar here)
Jeggings: Pac Sun (here)
Shoes: maurices (here)
Necklace: Silpada
Belt: Charlotte Russe (similar here)
Bag: ebags.com (here)

I have to thank a few people today. I would like to start by thanking Audrey over here for posting a picture of this amazing tote. I did not hesitate to order it. I've been searching for the perfect work tote for months now. This bag has the most amazing pockets and fantastic feel, smell, and color. It's going to be in my life for a long time.

The second person I need to thank is the girl that purchased this lace top and decided she did not like it so she returned it to my store. I grabbed it for less than $5 and I envisioned this outfit instantly. The adorable stacked boot came later realizing that they would also be a fantastic addition as well. You'll be seeing lots of them all!

Oh so mismatched.

Sweater: Old Navy (old)
Shirt: American Eagle
Tank: maurices
Jeans: Silvers Brand via maurices
Leg Warmers: American Eagle
Boots: Dingos

Bloggers everywhere are challenging this season to step up and actually bring a real winter. I keep wondering why. Up North it's a whopping 30 degrees and I am already sick of every winter jacket in my wardrobe.

However I am loving the plaid trend and I wonder if I will ever have enough of them (and leg warmers). In my opinion this outfit does not work that well. I love every piece but I think the leg warmers are a little much AND the tan sweater should probably be a little more cream. That said, it's a product of trial and error and it kept me warm and I am pleased to say I pulled it out of the abyss of my closet.

What are your thoughts?

Thrifted.

Denim Jacket: Gap
Top: Forever21 (thrifted)
Leggings: maurices
Leg warmers: AE
Boots: Unity by Carlos Santana
Jewelry: Lia Sophia

I found this adorable top at one of the best consignment shops I have ever visited. It had to be brand new or perhaps the owner wore it once and decided it wasn't what they needed. Regardless, I paid a whopping $12 bucks and I know I will wear it at least six times which takes the cost per wear to $2 bucks. WOW!! I think I found a new hobby...

This outfit reminds me of this one. But, I still like it plenty.

A brand new start.

Coat: H&M (old)
Shoes: Famous Footwear
Pants: Pac Sun
Collared Shirt: maurices
Cardigan: maurices
Scarf: Kohl's

Happy 20-12! I had hoped to start this 2012 post with a bang but unfortunately my morning did not start as intended. In fact, I went to bed with a wet head last night, crawled out of bed at 7:30, managed to put a bit of make-up on my face, a small amount of product in my hair, then put a few pieces of clothing that were close by on my body ... and hit the road. Good news is that I made it to work on time. Bad news is that this outfit is just okay.

All that said, I'm ecstatic about the future of this blog and all of the things to come this year. Here are a few of New Year's resolutions. 1) Work out at least four times a week (via p90x). 2) Be a better wife (whatever that may entail, wink, wink). 3) Become more organized. 4) Put my jacket on a hanger at the end of every day.

What are your new year resolutions? Oh, and Happy New Year.
